This is an example page. It's different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I'm a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin' caught in the rain.)
...or something like this:

This addition and renovation project is located in the scenic hills above Santa Barbara, California, offering breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean. The owner’s vision is to enhance the home’s connection to its surroundings by introducing more natural light into the living spaces, raising the original ceiling heights, expanding the bedrooms, and creating additional living areas above the garage to accommodate modern family living. Our team presented several options, ultimately settling on a design that minimizes disruptions to the original structure while delivering significant upgrades to the property. Despite the addition of a new level, the design thoughtfully incorporates minimal level changes, ensuring a comfortable and accessible living environment.

Private Estate, Rancho Mirage, USA
18,000 SF Multi-Structure Luxury Residence
Role: Architect of Record, Lead Designer
This 18,000-square-foot private estate in Rancho Mirage, California, showcases a thoughtful approach to estate architecture, blending practicality and beauty to meet the needs of a large multigenerational family. The design focuses on creating a livable, comfortable space by breaking the home into smaller, more manageable areas. These clusters of spaces are grouped together like a collection of small villages, naturally arranged around central gathering areas. This approach allows the family to connect in shared spaces while also providing the privacy and independence needed for daily living.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the Coachella Valley, the estate incorporates walls and forms that mimic the rugged rock formations found in the surrounding landscape. These elements help break down the scale of the property, making it feel more approachable while still maintaining its grandeur. Natural materials like stone, wood, and glass were chosen to harmonize with the desert environment, creating a timeless design that feels rooted in its surroundings.
At the heart of the estate are large gathering spaces designed for connection and relaxation. These areas feature fireplaces, interior water features, and expansive open layouts. Large sliding glass doors open directly to the pool area, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. This fluid connection allows the family to enjoy the desert climate year-round, whether they are lounging indoors or hosting events by the pool.
The outdoor spaces are as carefully considered as the interiors, offering a range of amenities that extend the home’s functionality. The expansive garden includes winding walking paths, inviting sitting areas, and zones for outdoor cooking and dining. A dedicated outdoor cinema provides a unique space for evening entertainment under the stars. Drought-resistant landscaping with succulents, cacti, and native plants complements the natural surroundings while promoting sustainability.
The estate also caters to an active lifestyle with a variety of features. A gym and sauna provide areas for health and wellness, while a private tennis court offers recreation for the entire family. For quieter moments, a small chapel is tucked away on the property, creating a space for reflection or family celebrations. Two guest houses offer additional accommodations for extended family or visitors, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to stay.
Practicality and luxury intersect in the estate’s two garages. One serves as a traditional garage for everyday use, while the other is a showcase for collectible cars. This display garage features glass walls, allowing the collection to be admired from the cozy underground entertainment areas. These entertainment spaces, designed for hosting and relaxation, add another layer of comfort and sophistication to the home.
Throughout the design process, the focus was on creating a home that feels welcoming and approachable despite its impressive scale. The integration of natural materials, thoughtful landscaping, and fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces ensures the estate is more than just a residence—it’s a place for a family to live, connect, and create lasting memories together.
This Rancho Mirage estate exemplifies how estate architecture can combine elegance, functionality, and a deep respect for the surrounding environment. By blending grand design with human-scale details, it offers a unique living experience that balances luxury with livability.
